This event has been postponed util winter due to family and event conflicts. We will keep all informed.

    Merry Meet All

The first annual Grand Feast of the Brotherhood of Steel will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 5pm (doors open at 4pm for music and visiting). The feast will consist of 13 authentic renaissance recipes served in 7 course "removes". There will be entertainment provided by our Bard's Guild and there will be a Silent Auction consisting of beautiful items donated by wonderful ren-fair merchants and local sponsors of the Brotherhood. We cordially invite everyone to join us for a wonderful evening of feasting, music and fun. Seating is limited to 100 and tickets are only $50 per person.

The funds raised this night will go to continue our efforts of promoting Honor in our community as well as travel expenses to the White Hart festival which is the Brotherhood's "second home". The White Hart Renaissance Festival will be held 3 weeks in a row starting on June 21st as a Saturday/Sunday Festival run by a wonderful lady on her own private property. Dy and her late husband, Charles where part of the originators of Renaissance Festivals in California and had dreams of one day creating a festival of their own that was a "ren fest for rennies". This is a wonderful event and one that the Brotherhood looks forward to attending from now on. To help continue this dream of theirs, the Brotherhood officially requested a special deal with Dy which is why we are hosting a fund raiser: We heard that she was at odds with the up keep of this wonderful event and the strain of finances may be too much. An executive decision was made and we told Dy that we would continue to perform every weekend of her event in the same area as long as she NEVER pays us again. That's right, we don't accept her money and do this event for free. Therefore we are starting this fundraiser to help with the costs. We would love to see everyone attend if you can make it and please call me if you do find time in your busy schedules to attend. I promise you the $50 will be well spent! The feast will be held at:

    Ben Hur Masonic Lodge
    1442 S 30th St.
    Kansas City, KS 66106

    5:00-9:00/9:30pm

I look forward to seeing everyone at the feast!

    Sad News

Tuesday, May 29, 2007, 11:49 AM CST [General]

    Our Dearest Friends,

I, Count Mattias Schantz, have been remiss in having not informed all of sad news from the The Brotherhood of Steel. I beg your forgiveness in this matter.

Last fall Sir Brenis Thorson, First Marshal and First Knight of The Brotherhood of Steel, passed from this mortal world to the Halls of Vahalla following a heroic battle with cancer. Sir Brenis was a friend and comrade to all and will be greatly missed. Sir Brenis was the First Marshal of the Brotherhood, his Honor and Valor both on and off the field of combat was beyond reproach.

This year The Brotherhood of Steel will be honoring Sir Brenis Thorson at each of our events and we invite all to join us in this ceremony. May his spirt live within all of the Brotherhood.

I take this time to say farewell to a true friend, Brother Brenis. Thanks you my brother for all that you have taught me. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your stern words, as they have guided me to be a better man. Most of all, Thank You, my dear friend, for the memories as they will be something I cherish and cary with me all the days of my life.

    In Honor,

Count Mattias Schantz, Paladin of The Brotherhood of Steel
